It was my very first listing.
A $700,000 property in a market where the average days on market at the time was over 300 days – not exactly an easy assignment! And there was no budget for professional staging.
I could have listed it as it was (a lot of agents would have). But I looked at that home and I genuinely believed it could be something extraordinary. It just needed someone to see it that way and act on it.
So I went back to my apartment. I looked around at my own furniture. The pieces I had chosen carefully, the things I loved, and I thought: why not?! I rented a U-Haul. I loaded it up. I made a stop at HomeGoods on the way and picked up everything I needed to finish the look. And then I went to that property and I styled it from scratch.
I made it beautiful in a way that made you feel something when you walked through the door.
The buyers agreed. It sold with multiple offers within 7 days.
I remember standing there thinking: this is it. This is what I want to do on every single listing. Not just put a property on the market, but create an experience that buyers feel in their bones when they walk through the front door. An emotional connection so strong that they can already picture their life inside that home.
That one moment became the foundation of everything I do today. We now have our own staging van, our own inventory of furniture, art and soft furnishings, and a full bespoke design service that we bring to every single listing, completely complimentary.
If you are thinking about selling and you want to understand what this approach could do for your home, I would love to have that conversation.
